MySQL down after latest cPanel upgrade
Hello,
Seems the cPanel update has broken MySQL on my server. It won't start. I have opened a ticket with my host but they seem very slow these days. I'm hoping someone can give me direction in how to resolve this?
If I go to the services page on cPanel, it says MySQL is down.
I try restarting it but no luck. Any assistance would be appreciatd.
Thanks
Attached is the restart output log.

I would first check the usual culprits 1. ownership of the /var/lib/mysql folder make sure all is owned by mysql 2. /etc/my.cnf 3. tail your /var/lib/mysql/servername.err for more clues as you txt file only tells anyone reading it that it did not start (we all ready know that) 0 -
Hello, Yes, as mentioned in the previous post, the MySQL error log is the best place to start. Could you review /var/lib/mysql/$hostname.err and let us know the output when attempting to start MySQL. Thank you. 0
