Hello, If you have root access to the server, you can configure remote backup destinations via "WHM >> Backup Configuration". The option is documented at: Backup Configuration - Documentation - cPanel Documentation For instance, if you setup a FTP server on your local workstation, you could have backups automatically stored on the workstation. Thank you.

Thank you very much for this, is what you're suggesting fairly easy to do for someone who has never done that type of stuff before? I do have shell access.

Hello, Do you root access to the server, or just shell access on a shared hosting account? Thanks!

    It's root access.

You shouldn't encounter any issues when configuring backups in Web Host Manager. Setting up a local FTP server on your own computer would likely take some research, depending on your OS. The other option is to purchase space on a remote server for backup/FTP purposes. Thank you.
