Disabling Installatron?

Hi, Couldn't find any cPanel Documentation for Installatron but I get the occasional email titled "[Installatron] Update Summary" where it says it has updated Joomla and Drupal and so forth. Apps I'll never use, mind you :p Is there a way to disable Installatron? (I presume it came enabled by default in cPanel, as I'm certain I didn't enable it) Any info/help would be appreciated - Thanks :)

  Your Hosting Provider would have installed it, it's not default in cPanel. You could uninstall it if you like: installatron.com/docs/admin/uninstall

  but what is it? and could it be used by someone to infiltrate and harm my website? hi im will, i've got shared hosting cpanel with godaddy as well and i just noticed this file/ plugin come with my most recent install of wordpress today and it's a 'Must Use' under plugins.

  It's a script installer for installing things like Wordpress. As long as it's kept up to date and the scripts installed with it, like Wordpress, are kept up to date as well, security for it should be ok. If you're concerned about it and do not wish it to be installed on your account/server, you might try contacting your Hosting Provider and ask them to remove it for you.
