How does this folder exist on my site?
Someone alerted me to the fact that Norton thinks there is an "annoyance" on my site in this folder:
mywebsite/~astrol20/
If you browse there, you can see some folder names but no files. When I login to cpanel and search the files in my account, this folder doesn't exist. My webhost mentioned the '~' indicates this is a user account but I also have no account using that name.
Anyone know what is going on here? Why can users browse to this folder through my site? How can I stop that from happening?
Thanks!

It wouldn't let me edit my post, kept saying it was too spam like, I have no idea why. Anyway I tried to create a redirect for this uri and that didn't work, it just keeps bringing up the folder list, so it seems like it's something outside of my website that is doing this right? I have no clue how to resolve this any ideas are much appreciated! 0 -

That directory name /~astrol20/ can be found using google, on other websites. I think you might want to take a closer look at that server for other signs of a compromise.0 -

Yes you're right there are a bunch of sites on google showing this directory: /~astrol20/ I messed up my registration, I'm not the root admin and I can't figure out how to change it in my profile. I did contact support though and told them that I think the server I'm on has been compromised and asked them to escalate the issue. Thanks for the response!0 -

No worries, I've updated your profile for you. Good luck with this issue.0
