cPanel & WHM update failure in upcp script
Hi
I've had a cPanel & WHM update failure in upcp script email this morning along with another saying it terminated after 6hours of trying. I've looked through other threads, but some of the log details were a bit different, so didn't want to just try what was suggested in case that wasn't right. Can someone suggest what I should try please?

Hello, Please try update cPnale forcefully using following command : /scripts/upcp --force 0 -
Is there any thing else in the logs ? If so please paste it as well. Else please check and confirm your update preferences and make sure you have selected the stable release and then try a force cpanel update using /scripts/upcp --force option 0 -
I've tried a force update and its getting stuck at this line E Blocker found: Your RPM database appears unstable. It is not possible at the moment to install a simple RPM.
Edit : This is the message I get when logged into whm;Reasons for blocked updates. Please correct these issues and rerun updates. fatal: Your RPM database appears unstable. It is not possible at the moment to install a simple RPM. fatal: Cannot upgrade because yum is locked (/var/run/yum.pid has existed for 10+ minutes).0 -
Hello @fullfatdesigns, Check for any hanging YUM and RPM processes via: ps aux|grep rpm ps aux|grep yum
Kill any of those processes that are no longer active, and then rebuild the RPM database via: "WHM Home " Software " Rebuild RPM Database" Then, run "yum update" to see if it completes successfully. Thank you.0 -
