Migrate Emails While Website On Destination Server
Hello,
We have this support case where domain.com hosting account exists on both serverA and serverB and requires 'merging'.
For historic reasons, ServerA currently hosts only the emails (MX record pointing to this server) and ServerB hosts the website (A record for domain.com and www).
We want everything to be hosted on ServerB, i.e. move the emails from ServerA.
What is the best way to handle this kind of situation? Obviously WHM Transfer Tool won't work as the account exists already on ServerB.
One way we could think of was to backup the website (files/DB), drop the account on ServerB, migrate from ServerA using WHM restore or transfer tool, and then restore the website, but this will have a downtime on the website.
Any other recommend or creative ways of doing this which can be reliable and simple?
Thank you.

If you want to migrate only email accounts and mail from ServerA to ServerB then I would suggest you to create all email accounts on your serverB and copy your mail folder from your ServerA to ServerB. 0 -
Hello, You could manually create the email accounts on the destination server, and then copy over the email data from /home/$username/mail and /home/$username/etc from the source server. The following document provides information about the data in both of these directories: How to Manually Migrate Accounts to cPanel from Unsupported Control Panels - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Let us know if you have any questions.
