Can someone confirm that my host needs to sort this, not me? (I'm on a GoDaddy OpenVZ/Virtuozzo VPS) uname -rv returns this: 2.6.32-042stab093.4 #1 SMP Mon Aug 11 18:47:39 MSK 2014

  Hello, That's correct. You won't be able to update the kernel under that environment. I recommend reaching out to your provider's support team to verify their kernel update policy and procedures. Thank you.
