maldet - inotify-tools

CENTOS 6.8 x86_64 kvm " server2 WHM 58.0 (build 34) kernal : 2.6.32-642.4.2.el6.x86_64 Hi, I want to active INOTIFY MONITORING for maldet. when i run maldet --monitor users it gives


maldet(23367): {mon} could not find inotifywait command, install yum package inotify-tools or download from https://github.com/rvoicilas/inotify-tools/wiki/

[root@vps1 ~]# yum install inotify-tools

Hi, Try with following command and let me know the result. yum install epel-release -y yum install inotify-tools -y

Hello, You could enable the EPEL YUM repo file as mentioned in the previous post, however keep in mind it's not an officially supported repository. Thus, you may want to manually compile that software using the instructions under "Everyone Else" at the following page: Home " rvoicilas/inotify-tools Wiki " GitHub Thank you.
