Preview site with mod_ruid2 installed?

Hi, Easy Apache 4, CentOS6.8, WHM 60.0 (Build 15). I'm trying to preview a site. But I cannot activate mod_userdir because mod_ruid2 is installed. OK - So I can uninstall mod_ruid2 but my question is what security risks does this pose? Should I give up on previewing websites and accept that mod_ruid2 is required and must not be removed? Thanks

  Solved: Edit hosts file seems to work ok. Although not sure I would want a client to do this.

  Hello, Manually modifying the hosts file on a workstation is the preferred option in most cases because not only can you keep Mod_Ruid2 enabled, but sometimes certain Mod_Rewrite rules won't function when accessing a website via the Apache Mod_Userdir URL.
