Why can customers take backup when they will exceed disk space usage?

We have this issue quite often. Customers take full backup inside their cPanel account and the disk space usage gets full and everything stop working for the customer and they panic! Why cannot cPanel stop the customer before they do a full backup and prevent them from doing a backup at all if there is a chance for their account to go over quota? There has to be some kind of solution to this?

  yes my customers often face this problem cpanel must measure the total size of backup + user disk usage then prevent the process with showing alert if the total size will exceed the disk quota

  Hello, It's not currently possible to limit backup generation based on quota or inode limits, but I encourage you to vote and add feedback to the existing feature request that's open for this at: Limit Backups by Disk Space and Inode count Thanks!
