Root sending email to user every minute
Hi,
Please excuse me if I do not use the correct terms as I am relatively new to cPanel and WHM.
I am a reseller customer so do not have root access to the server or full functionality of WHM.
My problem is that upon checking Mail Delivery Reports I notice that emails are being sent from root to an account that (as far as I know) does not exist. This is happening every minute until limits have been reached.
I have posted the event details below.
I have checked the default email account for the user in question but it is empty.
Could this be a problem with a script on one of my websites?
Thank you in advance for any help.
Kind Regards
Diane

Hello, I think mails sending from account using php script. You have to check mail logs to find out the exact path for mail script. Refer this URL for more information : WHM/cPanel root sending email that doesn't exist. 0 -
Hello, The thread referenced in the previous response should help, but you may also want to reach out to your web hosting provider for additional assistance in determining the source/reason for the initial email that triggered the root@hostname message. Thank you. 0
