Directing Addon Domain to Existing Directory
A client let their .com domain expire and lost it, and now we have to use the .net version. I unassigned the .com domain in cpanel, and assigned the .net domain, and directed it to the directory that the .com site was using. However, when I type their .net domain in a browser, it redirects to the .com, which is now a "this domain is for sale" page.
Is their something else I need to do to make the .net domain use the old directory? Its a wordpress site, and I'd rather not export/import it because that's always been messy and it would be much simpler if I could just get it to show the original site. Thank you for any suggestions.

You'd need to make sure you've updated your DNS for the .net domain at the registrar to point to the server and be sure you've updated the domain name in the wordpress config: Changing The Site URL " WordPress Codex 0 -
Thank you for the reply. Yes, the registrar dns is updated or else I wouldnt have been able to add that domain to the hosting. I'll look into the Wordpress codex, thanks again. 0
