Ensure valid email connections to domain.com and mail.domain.com
I have one old multi domain SSL certficate which expires at 21 of December 2016. This certificate covers domain.com someotherdomain.com anotherdomain.com but not mail.domain.com etc... nor www.domain.com etc...

Today Autossl issued another certificate which covers mail.domain.com and in the cpanel account I see that the recommended email settings are
I have hundreds of people who have setup at their email clients as incoming and outgoing domain.com already. Will I run into trouble with those users? I really want to avoid trying to reach everyone. Is there a dns record I can create to ensure compatiblity and valid email connections to both domain.com and mail.domain.com?

IMAP Port: 993
POP3 Port: 995
Outgoing Server: domain.com

Hello, cPanel & WHM's Mail SNI support allows you to use any domain name that resolves to your IP address (for example, example.com) as the incoming and outgoing mail servers, rather than the server's hostname. This is documented at: Mail FAQ - Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thanks! 0 -
So Michael you are saying that on a server with autossl sni support on a domain example.com, it is possible to set secure email connections to either mail.example.com or example.com as incoming or outgoing server without any conflicts, correct? 0 -
