Using OVH Failover IP's
Good morning!
I'm going to purchase a new WHM license for a new dedicated. The dedicated will be an OVH (So You Start) machine.
In order to set the IP of my new cPanel/WHM license, can I use a Failover IP instead of main machine IP?
Thank you!

Hello, You should use the IP address the server uses when making outgoing connections. You can use either of these commands to determine which IP address that is: curl -L http://cpanel.net/showip.cgi lynx -dump http://cpanel.net/showip.cgi

Hi! So, the IP address the server uses when making outgoing connections is always the main IP server? I can configure WHM to make outgoing conexions with a IP failover? Thanks! 0 -

It's not necessarily the main server IP address, however it is the IP address that should be used for licensing purposes. Configuring the IP address used for outgoing connections depends on the version of CentOS installed, however the following third-party URL should help: how do i change outgoing ip address for server centos Thank you.0
