Can't send emails to Hotmail accounts.
Hello,
I changed to a new dedicated server.
And it seems that all the cpanel accounts can't send emails to Hotmail, live, MSN accounts. That's very annoying for all my clients.
I ask my server and they told me that I'm responsible for my own server. This is my 4 dedicated server I have and no problem before.
Is there someone can help me? What do I have to do?
Thank you very much,
Dave.

Do I have to send an email from one of my email accounts to web-xpezq@mail-tester.com[/EMAIL] ?
Hello Dave, Yes, first send the email from one of your email accounts hosted on the cPanel server to the email address generated when browsing to mail-tester.com. Then, enter the mail-tester email address you sent the email to, and click on "Then Check Your Score". I did that already. But I don't get any reply to my emails addres. Also one of there website I fill in one if the account domainname and get this result. See attachment. Thank you, Dave 0 -

Hello, Is the DNS for this domain name handled by the cPanel server, or are you using a remote server for DNS purposes? Those options will enable SPF/DKIM, but the records are only active if the cPanel server is the DNS host for the domain name. This document explains how it works with cPanel: How to Set Up Nameservers in a cPanel Environment - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0 -
Hi, It's the first time in my life and with this server it create it's own Name Server per different domain name. Sometimes ns1 and ns2, ns5 and ns6 or ns10 and ns9. Then I ad this to the "Edit DNS Zone" in WHM. And also in my controls panel where I bought the domainnames. It's weird to work like that way. A lot of manual work. So, should I leave the SPF and DKIM switch on or off? See attschement. 0 -

Could you let us know if you have any specific questions or are having trouble with any of the steps listed in the URL from my last response? So, should I leave the SPF and DKIM switch on or off?
I recommend leaving these options enabled to ensure SPF and DKIM are enabled on the account. Thank you.0 -

There are several facts about Hotmail that you may want to be aware of before you send your mails. 1. Hotmail uses the Sender ID and reverse DNS records to authenticate the sender: We have verified that reverse DNS is set for the server. 2. Hotmail is sensitive to the message content: Avoid spam looking words and phrases in your email and always test your copy before sending it to the whole list. Setup a test email account on Hotmail and send a test email copy to that account. Check whether it arrives into the Inbox or Junk email folder. 3. Hotmail blocks your messages if you continue sending to bad email addresses. If an email returns as a hard bounced, you need to delete it from the list immediately. If an email returns as a soft bounced, you can try several attempts to deliver it. If after a few attempts, the email still bounces, remove it from your list too. If you continue sending to non-deliverable email addresses, your activity may be considered as spamming. 4. Hotmail uses old email accounts as Spam Traps. A spam trap is an email address used to catch spammers because legitimate emails should not be sent at those addresses. If an email is sent to a spam trap address, the owner of the spam trap can complain to your ISP or block your domain or IP. 5. A Hotmail account expires if it is not used during six months. After the six month period an email sent to a dead account bounces with the "550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable" error. After one year of disuse they start using that mailbox as a spam trap. This is another good reason for legitimate marketers to ensure they follow best email marketing practices. With the various rules and policy involved, I'd recommend you to contact Hotmail support to have a look into the issue. They will definitely be able to help you out in this matter. We, however, do everything we can, to try to help out our customers. 0 -
