it should be installing a new one during a cpanel update else you can run it manaully /usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkallsslcerts

Hello, Check to see if touch files exist on the system that will prevent the AutoSSL hostname certificate generation:
    ls /var/cpanel/ssl/disable_auto_hostname_certificate /var/cpanel/ssl/disable_service_certificate_management
If so, you can remove those files and then run the "/usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkallsslcerts" command again. Thank you.

Hello @dalem and @cPanelMichael Thanks for your input. [LIST]
  • I don't have disable_auto_hostname_certificate nor disable_service_certificate_management files at all
  • I've ran /usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkallsslcerts but it didn't generate a new certificate (been 1+ hr)
  • My hostname resolves to my IP address. Note: I have a self-signed cert at this moment. Please help me to troubleshoot this further.

Hello @jeffcan, Browse to "WHM >> Manage AutoSSL" and review the most recent log under the "Logs" tab. Could you let us know the output for the server's hostname certificate request? Thank you.

Hello Michael, I didn't see any logs related to my hostname. It's full of stuff related to all other domains.

Would you mind opening a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you.
