ns2.* zone corrupt, unable to reset the zone

When I edit my ns2.* zone I am getting a message there are errors, it's outlined below:
cPanel first:11.60.0.28 (update_time):1481592994 Cpanel::ZoneFile::VERSION:1.3 hostname:server01.someserver.com latest:11.60.0.28 ; Zone file for ns2.nameserver.us $TTL 14400 2016121303 ;Serial Number no current owner name 3600 ;refresh no current owner name 7200 ;retry no current owner name 1209600 ;expire no current owner name 86400 ;minimum no current owner name ) unbalanced parentheses
and if I try to reset the zone I am getting this error:
Reset DNS Zone ns2.nameserver.us Failed to reset zone ns2.domain.us: Unable to determine the IP address for ns2.nameserver.us

  Hello, Could you verify how this zone was created? Are you able to delete the zone and then create it again via WHM after it's deleted? EX:
  cp -a /var/named/$domain.tld.db /root/$domain.tld.db /scripts/killdns $domain.tld
