The service ipaliases appears to be down.
Dear All
When I installed my server with CloudLinux 7, I went through the steps for preparing it to run cPanel and got this error:
[root@webhost01 ~]# iptables-save > ~/firewall.rules
[root@webhost01 ~]# systemctl stop firewalld.service
[root@webhost01 ~]# systemctl disable firewalld.service
Removed symlink /etc/systemd/system/dbus-org.fedoraproject.FirewallD1.service.
Removed symlink /etc/systemd/system/basic.target.wants/firewalld.service.
[root@webhost01 ~]# systemctl stop NetworkManager.service
[root@webhost01 ~]# systemctl disable NetworkManager.service
Removed symlink /etc/systemd/system/dbus-org.freedesktop.nm-dispatcher.service.
Removed symlink /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/NetworkManager.service.
Removed symlink /etc/systemd/system/dbus-org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.service.
[root@webhost01 ~]# systemctl enable network.service
network.service is not a native service, redirecting to /sbin/chkconfig.
Executing /sbin/chkconfig network on
[root@webhost01 ~]# systemctl start network.service
[root@webhost01 ~]# systemctl start ipaliases.service
Failed to start ipaliases.service: Unit not found.
I tried various things, but could not work out how to get it to start, so proceeded with the installation anyway.
Now that the server is up and running I am getting the following alert emailed to me:
Service Name ipaliases
Service Status failed
Notification The service "ipaliases" appears to be down.
Service Check Method The system"s command to check or to restart this service failed.
Number of Restart Attempts 1
Is this something that I need to worry about?
Many thanks
John

You could try: systemctl daemon-reload
Thensystemctl status ipaliases0 -
