Backup delete problem
Hello.
I have a VPS, and a couple of weeks ago, the backup copies are not deleted, and it creates a problem, since it consumes all the space I have. It used to work fine, and I have not changed any settings.
My configuration is:44459

Hello everyone, I noticed that after 2017 began, cPanel started retaining more than 1 daily backup, which is the number specified in backup configuration, I'm not sure whether this is a bug, or some mis-configuration on my part, it keeps all the old backups which is eventually filling the entire disk space! I've set it to retain 1 daily, weekly, monthly backup! But apparently the setting is being ignored I have WHM 60.0 (build 28), so what can I do to take care of this issue? Thank you 0 -
Do you have backup notification alerts enabled? (i.e. does the server email you to say a backup has been completed). Backups being retained like this is usually the case when backups have failed to complete successfully and therefore older backups are not deleted. 0 -
Hello, It's likely the backup pruning is failing due to failed backups for some of the accounts on the system. This is discussed on the following thread: In Progress - Backup pruning behavior in cPanel 60 Thank you. 0 -

I'm happy to see you were able to determine the cause of the problem. Thank you for updating us with the outcome. 0
