MariaDB 10.2.2
Hi there,
When will MariaDB 10.2.2 be available through cPanel? 10.1 has issues that have been fixed, performance improvements and the proper use of the new Barracuda format.
I don't want to manually upgrade as I want to keep it integrated with cPanel but the option to have 10.2.2 would be great

Hello Greg, There's no time frame available for the inclusion of MariaDB 10.2 at this time. I encourage you to submit a feature request for it's inclusion with cPanel, and we can then update the request with more information as it becomes available: Submit A Feature Request Thank you. 0 -
Thanks request submitted. - Removed - 0 -
Can't seem to find this feature request to upvote/like, it says error 500, on the above link... Has there been any news on using 10.2? 0 -

I think this Feature Request are deleted because cPanel are not like adding new Feature?0 -
The Feature Request was probably removed, it was titled: "Regular MariaDB updates - Upgrade to 10.2.2" Regular updates are available via WHM as of a year ago: Add MariaDB 10.1 to MySQL/MariaDB upgrade in WHM Just not 10.2, yet. I think this Feature Request are deleted because cPanel are not like adding new Feature?
Your comment makes no sense. Search the Feature Requests site for the term: MariaDB. You'll find most every one of them is tagged, completed.0 -
Hi all cPanel staff probably removed the feature request. When I posted it they told me that they do add the latest stable release of MariaDB when it comes out. The problem is while many people are using 10.2.x in production environments it is currently listed as a Release Candidate, 10.2.2 was listed as a Beta but the current 10.2 ver is 10.2.5 which is RC so hopefully 10.2 will be added as Stable soon. They are making updates every couple of months by the looks of it. So until 10.2 has a stable release cPanel won't be adding it which is fair enough when you think about it. 0 -
