modification to resolv.conf
Hello,
My server is old and everything is working fine, just some customer complaint they are not able to send email to one company and they are also not receiving their emails.
When i traced it was showing host did not lookup.
I searched and somewhere written add entries in /etc/resolv.conf.
I just found there was one entry which was nameserver 127.0.0.1
Now i just disabled this one and added:
nameserver x.x.x.x (Main IP of server)
nameserver x.x.x.x (Cluster dns ip 1)
nameserver x.x.x.x (Cluster dns ip 2)
is it fine? please suggest.

Hello, Your own name servers are not recommended as resolvers. You should reach out to your hosting provider to see which resolvers they recommend. Otherwise, you can use public resolvers like the ones offered by Google: Public DNS | Google Developers Thank you.0 -
