Running transfer tool with sudo as user
Hello,
I want to allow certain users to make transfers through the cPanel Transfer tool. To actually accomplish this, I guess I would need to set the command in /etc/sudoers, but I don't know the path to the binary/script. Also, are there any other settings that I should be aware of for implementing this?
Thank you.

Are these users Resellers? 0 -
Hello, No, they are not resellers. They are linux users used for administration purposes (sudo commands). Let me know if I need to provide other info. 0 -
Hello, Transfer tool option is available only for root and resellers users. If you want to provide Transfer tool option then you need to set reseller privileges for the account. 0 -
Hello, I see. Which specific settings in "Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges" should be ticked for this to work? And I assume that I should use the sudo option in the Transfer Tool interface, as the reseller does not know the root password. Also, is there a separate file that keeps these su/sudo settings for cPanel (besides the linux /etc/sudoers file)? Thank you. 0 -
Hello, Only root users, or resellers with ALL (root) privileges can utilize "WHM >> Transfer Tool" on the destination server. Regarding SSH access, that's on the source server where the accounts are transferring from. Information on setting up wheel users is available on the following thread: [Tutorial] Interested in increasing the security of your server? Read this. (sshd hardening) Thank you. 0
