Problem with addon domain, 403 Forbidden error
Hello,
The url of my primary domain is example.gr and the url of my addon domain is domain.gr. Recently the addon domain stopped working, showing a 403 Forbidden error, "you don't have permission to access / on the server", or it redirected me to example.gr/domain.gr/, which by the way works properly.
I suspected it was my fault as i was messing up with .htaccess files, so I renamed both of them but with no luck. I even deleted my sitemap files.
Any suggestions of what may have gotten wrong?
Thank you in advance.

Hello, You can browse to the "Error Pages" option in cPanel when this happens and let us know the recent output related to the 403 error code: Error Pages - Documentation - cPanel Documentation Ensure to remove references to real domain names and IP addresses when pasting the output. Thank you. 0 -

Hello, Could you verify the path referenced in your last response is the document root you have configured for the addon domain name? If so, you will need to upload an index file (e.g. index.html) to the document root directory referenced in that error message. Thank you.0 -
Yes, that is the root for my addon domain. 0 -

Have you uploaded an index file (e.g. index.html, index.php) to that document root? Thank you.0 -

Sorry for the late response, You were right. It was a silly error at the document root of my addon domain. There was a double entry of my /home/example/ folder.... So everything is OK now. Thanks0 -
