Hi Thanks for the links - While it does give some basic info this is not quite the type of info I am looking for. When I setup a domain I can see that I also need to setup some basic redirects - but what would be the best practice for doing this, i.e., what are the basic set of redirects I should put in place? With Emails - before I allocate any to the users what basic set of emails should I setup, i.e., postmaster@, etc. What is the best practice re, setting a default address What is the best practice on cPanel re, setting up SSL for the domain? I know everybody's setup will be different, but it would be very helpful if a basic best practice setup guide were available.

Hi Thanks for these but perhaps I am not explaining myself very well. The documents you refer to show me the process - what I am looking for is which is the minimum set of redirects I should set in place. It follows then what else should be the very basic set of configurations I should set in place re emails, re security etc. I know this is a how long is a piece of string type question but there surely there is a very minimum set of things you should do when you first setup the domain. I know from experience that newbies are bewildered by the array of possible things confronting them and would benefit greatly from a very basic set of things that would get them up and running i.e., re domains, emails, security, etc.

Why are you concerned about setting up redirects exactly? To force https? There are no requirements to create any redirects. You can create as many as you need depending on the need.
