/etc/fstab access
Hi everyone,
Just updated the WHM to the latest version, 62 (on CentOS 6.8)
though, I have faced some issues after that, which concluded WHM/cPanel cannot read /etc/fstab
I have changed file permission from 600 to 644 an that addressed the issue.
Just wonder, If I decreased the security by changing the permission.
(Though, on a CentOS 7.x system, the default permission of same file is 644 by default)
Advice please.
Thanks.

Hello, It's acceptable to change the permissions on that file to the default 0644 permissions to correct this issue. Note that internal case CPANEL-11201 is open to address the number of reports we have received from systems with non-default permissions set on the /etc/fstab file. You can monitor the cPanel 62 change log to see when a resolution is published: 62 Change Log - Change Logs - cPanel Documentation Thanks! 0
