No pre/post virtualhost includes

I am struggling to debug a problem with mod_remoteip not being logging clients IP addresses. I believe the problem is the absence of Pre/Post virtual host includes in the main conf/httpd.conf file. cPanel documentation refers to using include files editor Include Editor - Documentation - cPanel Documentation and this was working before (using cPanel 62.x) I have added the required statement "Include /path/to/mod_remoteip.conf" in the post-virtualhost include box for All versions, however when reviewing the main conf/httpd.conf file - none of virtual hosts in the server have this line. The virtual host directives also missing the path to the post-virtualhost include file itself. So I am wondering if this is something wrong with my configuration or if cPanel somehow magically ensures the includes in a different way. Not to mention no client IP address is being logged in access logs for server websites (/home/user/access_logs/{logs})
