Limit mailbox size
Hello All,
I want to limit the maximum size of the mailboxes created in the server to 1 GB. The limit should be applied to all users by default and the cpanel user cannot assign quota more than the maximum mailbox size limit. For example, the cpanel account can create user with 500 MB but cannot create an user with more than 1 GB. At the moment, the default mailbox size is set to 1 GB but can be overwritten. Any idea how to limit the mailbox size so that nobody can override the limit?

Hello, This isn't possible at this time, but the implementation of the following feature (Tentatively scheduled for cPanel 66) would likely help: Ability to disable 'unlimited' email quotas I encourage you to subscribe to the feature to receive updates on it's status. Thanks! 0 -
Sorry to res an old thread but the feature request is locked for comments now. Is there any update on this? V66 has passed and it's been almost a year. 0 -
Hello, There's no update to report at this time, but it remains planned and thus comments are locked. However, note the following options are available under the "Mail" tab in "WHM >> Tweak Settings": Default user-defined quota value for new email accounts Default quota option for new email accounts Thank you. 0 -

Hello @000000000 can use WHM >> Modify an Account or WHM >> Edit A Package to update the Max Quota per Email Address (MB) value for existing accounts. Thanks! 0
