cPanel not showing hostname
Hi guys, I searched in the forum but have not found any solution to my problem.
My problem is that when I go in cpanel, on the email accounts and then configure the mail client, cpanel shows me as a SSL server the domain.tld and not the hostame like server.host.tld.
This problem occurs only on sites that have installed an ssl certificate.
The sites that not using ssl certificate shows the correct parameters, likely:
Cpanel --> email accounts --> configure email client:
SSL connection to the server: hostaname as server.host.tld
No SSL connection the server: mail.domain.tld
How can I solve this problem and show the hostname even for those sites that have ssl?
I reinstalled the main ssl server for all services but nothing has changed.
Thanks in advance

Do you have SSL installed for the Server Hostname ? 0 -

That's correct: Email Accounts - Documentation - cPanel Documentation Notes about email client configuration [LIST]- If you installed a non-wildcard SSL certificate that matches your hostname, the name of your server matches your hostname. For example, if your hostname is www.example.com and your SSL certificate matches your hostname, your server's name is www.example.com.
- If you installed a wildcard SSL certificate, the name of your server also matches any subdomains that correspond to the hostname's domain. For example, an SSL certificate for *.example.com is valid for my.example.com and foo.example.com.
- If you did not install an SSL certificate, the server uses the mail subdomain of your domain. For example, mail.example.com. Also, if your certificate does not match your hostname, the server's name is mail.example.com.

That is precisely the problem. On domain.tld I installed a no wildcard certificate then it should show the hostname right? But does not show the host name, but only domain.tld and mail.domain.tld. The domain ssl certificate is valid only for domain.tld and www.domain.tld The hostname have installed the certificate issued by cPanel... on all services. How do I solve this problem? 0 -

Hello, The behavior you have reported is by design. The cpdavd " Calendar, Contacts, and Web Disk services.- exim " Mail transfer and receiving services.
- dovecot " Mailbox service.
Since the mail service is already secured via SNI functionality, cPanel automatically lists the best available name for SSL use. Thank you.0
