Keep having to reset root password for SSH
Periodically for some reason I am getting access denied when I try to SSH as root and I need to go into WHM to reset the root password to re-open access. How do I prevent this from happening?

Hi, Try the below things... [LIST] - Whitelist your IP address in the cphulk..
- Try using a SSH key authentication..
- Check the /var/log/secure for evidence of root login attempted..

Hello, You can review /var/log/secure to see the specific reason authentication failed. Additionally, to verify if the account is locked out by cPHulkd, you can review the /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cphulkd.log file. Documentation on cPHulkd is available at: cPHulk Brute Force Protection - Documentation - cPanel Documentation cPHulk Management on the Command Line - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0
