Hello @kernow, An internal case was opened to report this issue in the past, however it was determined the "Backup Configuration" interface was not designed to support IPv6 addresses. I encourage you to open a feature request to add support for IPv6 addresses to the interface: Submit A Feature Request You can post the link the the feature request here once it's approved. Thank you. 0 -
How about this then, if the 'Custom' destination is selected then the error Invalid host for remote destination
does not appear, however this error does; Error: Validation for transport "test" failed: Could not open "/var/cpanel/backups/tmp.test.915114-1488993976.copy" after downloading it.
Is therea fix for that error? Could you also confirm what the absolute path to the script is? is it still /usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup ?0 -
Hello @kernow, Internal case CPANEL-11964 is open to report the issue with the "Custom" destination type not properly validating the "Remote Host" field. I also brought up allowing the use of IPv6 addresses as a potential solution, but that may or may not get addressed with this case. I'll update this thread with more information on the status of this case as it becomes available. Regarding your other question, yes, the direct path to the backup script is still: /usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup
Thank you.0 -
Thanks for the update. BTW we did submit a feature request but @cPanelDev told us From my perspective this would be considered a bug, rather than something needing a feature request. 0
