MultiPHP ini edits selectively applying

Hi cPanellers! We have been troubleshooting a few MultiPHP quirks this week when applying custom ini configurations. Basically, the built-in customizer interface seems to be ignoring some directives, while applying others. I could go into details, but here's some data that I hope explains where we are at this point: cPanel version: 62 EasyApache version: EA4 PHP version tested: 7.0/PHP-FPM Testing Data -------------- Our first test involved 4 specific directives we noticed we were having issues with: disable_functions, allow_url_fopen, allow_url_include, and memory_limit. PHP 7.0 Edits successfully applied in WHM: [LIST]

  • memory_limit Edits successfully applied in cPanel: [LIST]
  • memory_limit PHP-FPM 7.0 Edits successfully applied in WHM: [LIST]

  • memory_limit After seeing a pattern that items would consistently apply in WHM but inconsistently in cPanel - and that standard PHP seemed to have the same results as PHP-FPM, we performed a full test of the directives in the cPanel MultiPHP Ini Editor 'basic' interface: PHP 7.0 Edits successfully applied in cPanel: [LIST]

  • max_input_time
  • max_input_vars
  • memory_limit
  • session.save_path
  • upload_max_filesize Edits ignored in cPanel: [LIST]
  • allow_url_fopen
  • allow_url_include
  • enable_dl
  • file_uploads The list of ignored directives above is not exhaustive - it just represents the data we came up with while running our test set. I am certain more directives are only being selectively applied. Thanks for any thoughts y'all may have in helping us get to the bottom of this!

      Hello, Internal case CPANEL-11563 is open to address an issue where cPanel MultiPHP INI Editor changes do not reflect within PHP-FPM. I'll update this thread with more information on the status of this case as it becomes available.       Thank you for the response! Prior to posting we did a bit of research on our issue and saw that particular bug (CPANEL-11563) mentioned on other threads as well. This is why we tested for our issue on accounts that had PHP-FPM disabled. At least in our instance, this issue happens on both FPM and non-FPM accounts (which is why I included the full data set in my original post). Its very strange, and we welcome any ideas!

      Happy to! I am currently out of the office at a conference - but upon my return later this week I will submit a ticket to take a look at this issue in further detail.
