The MySQL restore process died from the SEGV signal.
I am using WHM on the new server to transfer all accounts from my old server.
1. I am getting the following warnings:
TRANSFER: Account "djbaxter": Unable to remove archive from remote system for user "djbaxter".
RESTORE: Account "djbaxter": Unable to remove archive from remote system for user "djbaxter".
TRANSFER: Account "daniel": Unable to remove archive from remote system for user "daniel".
RESTORE: Account "daniel": Unable to remove archive from remote system for user "daniel".
Not sure what that means. Can I safely disregard it?
2. I am getting the following errors:
RESTORE: Account "littlegulllake": Warnings
The MySQL restore process died from the "SEGV" signal.
The MySQL restore process died from the "SEGV" signal.
The MySQL restore process died from the "SEGV" signal.
The MySQL restore process died from the "SEGV" signal.
RESTORE: Account "runningw": Warnings
The MySQL restore process died from the "SEGV" signal.
RESTORE: Account "drdavidb": Warnings

RESTORE: Account "somasem": Warnings
The MySQL restore process died from the "SEGV" signal.
The MySQL restore process died from the "SEGV" signal.
RESTORE: Account "tsfc": Warnings

Again, I don't know what that means. The databases appear to have traneferred to the new server but does that mean I need to import them manually?

Hello, Internal case CPANEL-11297 is open to address reports of this error message during the transfer process. This seems to be a non-fatal error message based on reports we have received thus far (e.g. the databases should have been successfully restored), but would you mind opening a support ticket using the link in my signature and referencing case CPANEL-11297 so we can take a closer look at the affected system? You can post the ticket number here. Thank you.0 -
I did open a priority support ticket with cPanel. At the time, I was having email issues so I no longer have the ticket number but I received a response to the ticket and was assured that I could safely ignore the warnings and errors. The account transfers did complete successfully and all my sites are now live on the new server. Thank you for the response. 0 -
Found it: 8296341 - Errors while trying to use WHM to migrate accounts to new server The response: For the first warning, being unable to remove archives from the remote system, this appears to be an error blocking transfers from happening. However, generally speaking, the transfer succeeds on the second attempt. I'd like to encourage you to re-perform the transfer process. For the second warning, the segmentation fault happens after the transfer of the MySQL database is complete, and can be safely ignored. 0 -
Hello @djbaxter, Thank you for the update. I'll update this thread with more information on the status of internal case CPANEL-11297 as it becomes available. Thanks! 0 -
I'm having the same error when trying to migrate. Almost half of the migrated accounts have reported "The MySQL restore process died from the "SEGV" signal". Opened a ticket as well (#8343381). Are you 100% sure that I can continue with the migration? I really need to do it tonight as I already notified all our customers... :| 0 -

Hello, Internal case CPANEL-11297 should address the issue, but it's not yet been published to cPanel version 62. However, it has been published to Product Versions and the Release Process - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thank you.0 -

Yes, it's normal. Happens after each DB transfer completed. If some DB transfer fails you'll see the error message.0 -
Hello, To update, the resolution is included with cPanel version 62.0.19: Fixed case CPANEL-11297: Update B::C to version 5.024009-4.cp1162. Thank you. 0 -
Still experiencing this, source and destination servers are on 68.0.20 ERROR: mux_client_request_session: read from master failed: Broken pipe ERROR: ssh: Could not resolve hostname child: Name or service not known ERROR: Use of uninitialized value $s in split at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Expect/Shell.pm line 245. ERROR: sshcontrol execution encountered a fatal error: (XID jz3d5e) Critical SSH or support files appear to be missing: Failed to normalize shell: (XID na8z8b) The system failed to detect the remote shell. This probably indicates misconfiguration on the remote host or very high system load.
Only happens for some of the transferred accounts. BTW this forum does not let me edit my posts0 -

That's correct. New user are not permitted to edit. In time as you become more active, options like editing posts and profile should open up for you.0 -
