FTP Wont Connect After Udpate 62 Build 16
After the CP62B16 update, our server hung and had to be manually rebooted. The server booted right back up but gave some errors in Security Advisor that the Kernal was mismatched and the server needed a graceful reboot. After a couple graceful reboots the message is still there.
Now, All FTP connections to Pure-FTPD timeout when trying to retrieve directory listing via any FTP client, the connection is successful, then times out when retrieving the listing.
I have tried changing to ProFTP w/ no luck. Pro FTP will not even start once changed over to that FTP server.
I have reverted back to Pure-FTPD, which I would prefer to use but need to resolve these issues.

Hello, This seems like an issue with your firewall rules blocking access to the passive FTP ports. You can review the following document to see how to configure passive mode for FTP: How to Enable FTP Passive Mode - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Also, if you are using a firewall management utility such as CSF, ensure to review the following post: SOLVED - passive mode on pure-ftp + configserver Thank you.0 -
