Manually Copy Mail Accounts
I have a client who has asked that we take over their hosting so we met and I confirmed that cPanel Backup was available. Curiously though this feature has been disabled since we met. I'm not going to speculate as to why but have my suspicions.
So, with that in mind I took copies of the website files and database which will be restored manually. However, my concern is their mail.
The client has around 28 mail accounts and 16 GB of mail files (yes, I know... Could be managed better but we'll deal with that once we have them migrated).
What I'd like to do is this:
Copy the mail and etc directories locally and then upload them to the new account on the server. Is this actually possible...?
Would I have to create the mail accounts first and then copy the files...?
Is there a recognised process that works...?

Here's what I did, for reference, and it appears to have worked (No complaints from clients)... " I copied the etc + mail directories to a local drive " I rebuilt the website on the new server " I then created mail accounts identical to the ones on the old server " I then copied files from my local drive up to the server All seems OK. Thank goodness I have fibre. 0
