4 Nameservers with 2 different domains
Hi Guys, I have a question that I think is simple, but I'm not sure about the answer.
I have a VPS with 4 IPs
Is it possible to configure Nameservers in this way? ...
Nameserver 1: ns1.mydomain.com
Nameserver 2: ns2.mydomain.com
Nameserver 3: ns1.another-domain.com
Nameserver 4: ns2.another-domain.com
Or the 4 Nameservers must have the same domain? ...
Nameserver 1: ns1.mydomain.com
Nameserver 2: ns2.mydomain.com
Nameserver 3: ns3.mydomain.com
Nameserver 4: ns4.mydomain.com
Thank you !

both the cases are possible so you will need to just make sure that the domains are hosted on the server have ns records added in their DNS zone and they are registered at the respective domain registrar end. 0 -
Hello, Yes, it's acceptable to use different domain names for your name servers as long as the "A" records are setup and the name servers are registered at the domain registrar, as mentioned in the previous post: How to Set Up Nameservers in a cPanel Environment - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0 -

Hello, Yes, it's acceptable to use the same IP address for multiple name servers as long as your domain registrar allows it. Thank you. 0
