Uplink used/needed stat?
Hello! I am trying to save on hosting fees. I currently pay for a 1 Gbps uplink. I don't host big files only a website so html, php, css, js, jpg, png, all these are very small files.
Images are reduced to 640px wide on upload and compressed with jpegtran/pngout.
On top of that Cloudflare takes care of 80% of the bandwidth usage. Out of 100 GB of daily data cloudflare serves 80 GB and the server takes care of the remaining 20 GB (pretty neat!).
Questions: would a 250 Mbps port be enough? Would a 100 Mbps be enough? Will we notice a difference?
EDIT: I wonder if i'm looking at this the wrong way, if you need me to run a command or post some other stat let me know!

Hello, 100mbps is sufficient for such sites. you can find many sites on google where you can check site loading speed for various location. Check loading speed for existing connection and then try once again your downgrad to 250/100 mbps. 0 -
Hello, 100Mbps should be sufficient based on the information you have provided. You might find more of a benefit to 1 Gbps if you host multiple servers in the same data center and need to transfer data between them. Thank you. 0 -
