WHM 64.01 + kernelcare question

Hi, I just upgraded to WHM 64.01 and I see a message that says "You must reboot the server to update kernel." but I have KernelCare. Do I still have to reboot? I thought that's what KernelCare was supposed to prevent. Thanks.

  Hi Matt, you should not have to reboot. That notification was launched in the product and does not currently check KernelCare status, but we are addressing as I type this. This bug will be addressed soon!

  I am getting this exact same issue again with latest update to v66.0.14 You must reboot the server to apply kernel updates Using KernelCare and it shows everything is allright. Should I ignore? i already restarted my server 3 times. Best regards,

  Yep, I'm still having this issue with v66.0.15. KernelCare says everything is up-to-date and I've rebooted about 5 times since this message first appeared. No luck.

  I have the same issue in 66.0.17. All worked good, before server was updated from 64 to 66 branch, than he asked me to reboot in version 66.0.14, i rebooted the server. But after update to 66.0.17 it asking to reboot again.

  Hello, KernelCare updates the system to the latest kernel via its patching system, however it's possible the kernel RPM installed on the system is not updated to the latest version. Using the latest kernel RPM isn't required with KernelCare (it allows the system to run updated kernels without the latest RPM installed), however this can lead to cPanel displaying the "reboot warning" because the boot_version and running_version it detects are mismatched. A new case, CPANEL-15544, is now open to address this behavior. I'll monitor this case and update this thread with more information as it becomes available. In the meantime, you should be able to workaround this issue by installing the latest kernel RPM available from your OS (e.g. yum update kernel). Thank you.

  I also have the same issue in 66.0.17. The following warning message never disappears from WHM and security advisor although the newest kernel version ""3.10.0-714.10.2.lve1.4.63.el7"" is applied. How many times should I reboot? You must reboot the server to apply kernel updates. Is cPanel working on fixing this issue? Thanks.
