Hello, Here's a thread you may find helpful: Migrate cPanel DNS-Only Nameservers You could also setup a new server to act as NS1 with a new IP address, add to the cluster, and then update the name server IP address at the domain registrar once you've confirmed all of the zones have synced over to it. Thank you.

Hi, I dont want to change nameserver ip address. What if I make new fresh install cPanel DNS Only, use diff ip address and hostname. And then i remove current ns1 from DNS cluster. After that, I change IP address and hostname of new DNS only server same as old ns1 and then Add it to DNS cluter. And do " Synchronize all zones to this server only" on new server. Would this be safe to do ? Thanks!

Hello, This would work, however you may want to confirm with your provider that switching an IP address to a new server is supported. Also, since a DNS cluster is configured, the additional name servers will allow DNS to still work in the event of any downtime with NS1. Thank you.
