Moving a single account to a new server that uses the same name servers

I'm very new to the concept of handling more than one server. I have an account that requires it's own server. So I rented another server from a different webhost. Now I have two server of which the new one will only be handling a single account. Name servers stay the same. I tried terminating it off of the old server and adding it to the new server but it isn't working. It's as if the nameservers no longer hold any records for the site. Possibly propagation but I doubt it. I'm not using DNS clustering, nor do I understand it fully. I just want two servers, both using the same name servers. Do I need DNS clustering? How can I get the website to work on the new server using the same name servers?

  Hello, You'd need to setup clustering on the new server if you want to use the same name servers: DNS Cluster - Documentation - cPanel Documentation Guide to DNS Cluster Configurations - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Configure the "Write-Only" role when configuring clustering on the new server. You should not need to configure clustering on the first server based on the information you provided. Thank you.
