Reducing swapping frequency

Hello, We have server with 32GB RAM but recently have been experiencing a lot of swapping taking place. This causes high I/O and the server becomes almost unusable. Other than cPanel updates nothing else changes on the server. So, we assume frequent swapping and high I/O could be due to changes in cPanel. Is there something we can do to reduce swapping frequency. Once or twice a day is fine. But now it's happening several times an hour, almost continuously.
