With this command, you can start the backup manually.
    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup
As long as you do not set up an remote backup area, the backups will remain in the server. "Retain backups in the default backup directory" option is enabled, both the server and the remote point are backed up. If you disable this option, the backups are deleted from the server after being transferred to the remote point. (If remote destination backup is set)

As long as you do not set up an remote backup area, the backups will remain in the server.

How to configure remote destination FTP backup manually from command line? on root menu, not exist feature remote ftp backup (legacy backup configuration) and only exist internal backup to own server (/backup directory) This feature (legacy backup configuration/remote ftp backup) is missing since cpanel update version 64.0 build 12. Thank you for your help.

2 backup process are managed through a single backup system. If you only want to perform a remote backup, disable the "Retain backups in the default backup directory" option. When you run the /usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup command, backups are transferred to the remote area, temporary backup files are deleted from the server. If the option "Retain backups in the default backup directory" is enabled, the backups will remain on the server and transferred to the remote area.
