Deleted User Account SSL Resources re-appearing

However, after a while (next day, maybe after a WHM update/restart?) the same certificate appears again under User Account SSL Resources. I was wondering how to permanently remove the unused certificate?

Hello, Do you see the listed certificates within the "/home/$username/ssl/" directory for the account? If so, does removing them from that directory address the issue? Thank you.

Hello, Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, they are listed there. The thing is, I deleted them yesterday (also manually from the mentioned dir) and they were simply created again (they have today's date).

Is AutoSSL enabled for these accounts in "WHM >> Manage AutoSSL"? Thank you.

No, it is disabled. However, the user account is setup to automatically install SSL for any subdomain. Subdomains are added using APIv2 (api2_query). The account is using a wildcard SSL certificate. Right now it is using the correct wildcard certificate and subdomains get setup correctly. However, when the old wildcard certificate re-appears, the account is using that (wrong) SSL certificate to setup subdomains.

Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look at the affected system and see what's happening? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you.

An update: yesterday I logged into Cpanel with the reseller username; even though nothing was listed under "User Account SSL Resources" in WHM, the old certificate was still available in the reseller Cpanel account. I deleted the certificate from reseller Cpanel account as well now and so far it hasn't re-appeared. I will monitor it for a few days and if update the status here.

Issue solved. For anyone having the same question: The SSL certificate kept on showing back up under the user SSL resources because it was in use by cPanel services. As long as this SSL certificate is in use by system services it will continue to be added under SSL Storage Manager.
