Need help assigning an IPv6 range.
Hello.
I have a Linode server I'm redoing real quick like but I have some questions about IPv6.
Linode has assigned me an IPv6 address (2xxx:3xxx::fxxx:9xxx:fxxx:1xxx / 64 )
I've replaced real numbers with x's. For example, 2xxx is really 2600.
When I login to WHM, I go to:
Then I click Add Range. I can see the IPv6 address I setup as a shared IPv6 address right there. I'm following this guide:
WHM >> IP Functions >> IPv6 RangeThen I click Add Range. I can see the IPv6 address I setup as a shared IPv6 address right there. I'm following this guide:

Hello, You'd skip that step if you do not have a range of IPv6 addresses added to the system. Instead, you'd just setup a shared IPv6 address in "WHM >> Basic WebHost Manager" Setup". Thank you. 0 -

That's what I thought! I just wanted to make sure. And if I add more IPv6 addresses, then the IPv6 gateway should change from fe80::1 to something different? The fe80::1 is the link-local address, right? Thanks.0 -

Hello, Your provider should be able to provide you with the specific range to use. It would not be fe80::1, as that is for link-local addresses, explained on the following URL: What is the relevance of "fe80::1%lo0 localhost" in /etc/hosts? Thank you.0
