Transfer Tool giving me errors

Hi, I'm trying to transfer a test site from Server A to server B and am getting some odd errors. 90% of the time I get:
There is no SSH server listening on "IP_ADDRESS:22": Unknown error; No error sent.
I sometimes get this error:
The remote basic credential check failed due to an error (The password that you provided is not correct, or the SSH key is not permitted access: Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic,password).) and response: Connecting to IP_ADDRESS:22 as USER_NAME...using method password...Connecting to IP_ADDRESS:22 as USER_NAME...using method password...
And very rarely I get:

can ssh from server B to A on the command line although sometimes I get an error. It certainly isn't anywhere near 90% of the time, perhaps 5%. The IP address of server B has been allowed through the firewall of A.
ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
If I run ssh with debug I get the following:

    I've got it working. But it's a workaround. My source server was set to not allow root logins via ssh. I have now enabled these and ran the transfer tool again and it has worked. FYI: To enable/disable root logins via ssh: edit: /etc/ssh/ssh_config Add: PermitRootLogin yes save and exit service sshd restart I don't think I should have to do this if the Transfer Tool has the settings to allow su from another user but at least I have it working.

    Hi, Switching the user virtually is difficult for a script to elevate the user through it. If you are transferring full server, root access is mandatory and that it should be accessible through SSH, as transfer tool does most of the rsync type job at the end to transfer the data of home directory.

    Wondering if there was a resolution to this issue. I'm having the same problem going from CL7.4 to CL5.11. The fix in the other thread did not work for me.

    I've tried pretty much everything list in this thread and more, but: I've tried setting PermitRootLogin to yes, no, and without-password in /etc/ssh/sshd_config Tried setting ControlPersist and ControlMaster to no both in /etc/ssh/sshd_config and /etc/ssh/ssh_config And pretty much every possible permutation of those along with other param tweaks It's weird how sometimes it works fine but other times it fails.
