The last attempt to update cPanel & WHM was blocked

I need your urgent help. I have got a problem with upgrading on my server as I have got an error:

I have also tried this: /scripts/upcp "force It still get the same results. I cannot be able to upgrade it. :( I don't really know what to do. Can you please advice me what I would need to do in order to upgrade it?? Thanks in advance

Oh right, I have checked my centos version via putty using the commend: /etc/centos-release It said "Permission denied". Do you know why and how I can fix this?0 -
On the top of the WHM, it said that my centos version is CENTOS 6.9 i686 virtuozzo. I have tried to upgrade it but it wont let me as something has been blocked. Do you know what I need to do to unblock it so I could upgrade it? 0 -

Oh ok thank you for your advice. I am going to upgrade it to 64-bit operating system. Do you recommend if I should upgrade to CentOS 6.9 64-bit or CentOS 7 64-bit??0 -
You can choose whatever you want. However, CentOS 7 is recommended for long term support. 0
