Install SSL on shared IP

Hi all, I have a cpanel server which I only have 1 main ip address. The server will only be used by me. For security reason I would like to install a SSL cert on this main ip. I don't have a domain to use it for get access to cPanel and WHM as I want to use the main server ip for my own use. I have got no idea how I could add the server ip on SSL/TLS to register SSL. Do you know how I can add the server ip on SSL/TLS to register SSL? Any advice would be much appreciate. Thanks in advance.

  Hello, You can't install a SSL certificate on an IP address, however you should still be able to access cPanel/WHM over the secure URL (e.g. port 2087 for WHM) using the default service certificate configured for the server's hostname. You'd simply have to manually trust the certificate when the browser presents the warning message. Thank you.
