Hello, You'd need to setup the domain name as a subdomain or addon domain on the cPanel account if you want to utilize a free SSL certificate offered through the AutoSSL feature. The AutoSSL and Let's Encrypt features are documented at: Manage AutoSSL - Documentation - cPanel Documentation The Let's Encrypt Plugin - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thank you.

Hello, Does the host only exist as a CNAME DNS record, or are you also adding it as an alias or addon domain name on an account? Could you provide some more details about the purpose of the CNAME entry? Thank you.

I have the same issue, I am using the CNAME to serve my static files by my CDN service. For example cdn.domain.com is pointing to something.netdna.com. Looking forward to your reply.

Hello, Could you let us know the specific issue you are facing? The AutoSSL validation process should succeed as long as it can fetch the DCV TXT file created in the account's public_html directory. Thank you.

How would I add ssl if the host only exists as a CNAME DNS record? The purpose of the entry is to use the domain solely as a 3rd level tracking domain.

Hello, @agenciadix ! Can you provide the information that Michael requested perviously? Could you let us know the specific issue you are facing? The AutoSSL validation process should succeed as long as it can fetch the DCV TXT file created in the account's public_html directory.
