Why are SSL in VPS accounts showing they verified by cPanel?
There are several websites hosted in our VPS that don't have SSL set up for those particular domains. However, when I visit the websites, Firefox is showing that the sites are verified by cPanel. Not sure what this means and how this has happened. Is there a way to prevent this? It looks like all the clients are getting a free SSL.
There are other client sites that have SSL purchased and set up. They are correctly showing their own SSL information.

Hello, Free SSL certificates are installed for domain names without existing valid SSL certificates as part of the AutoSSL feature: Manage AutoSSL - Documentation - cPanel Documentation The above document explains how the feature works. Let us know if this helps to answer your question. Thank you. 0
