AutoSSL failed to renew an expired certificate for one domain? Looking at the AutoSSL logs apparently this is because the subdomains mail, cpanel, webdisk & webmail (which didn't exist) wouldn't resolve - I'd previously removed these DNS entries for this domain as they are simply not required. Is domain control validation using the local default DNS zone template to check against??? I simply added CNAME entries back into that DNS zone and re-ran AutoSSL check and voila a renewed cert was issued. Is there detailed documentation for domain control validation please anybody? thanks in advance

Hello, The AutoSSL feature should still issue the certificate for the parent domain name (after it's validated), even when certificates for the subdomains are not issued. Information on the domain validation process is available on the following thread: cPanel & WHM"s AutoSSL/SSL ordering process Thank you. 0
