Excluding packages from UPCP in v64
Since v58 I have been running Dovecot with Pigeonhole to give Sieve support.
Cpanel has been happily updating automatically since I had performed the following changes to /var/cpanel/rpm.versions.d/local.versions (as discussed ):
[2017-05-20 01:37:37 +0100] Testing RPM transaction
[2017-05-20 01:37:38 +0100] error: Failed dependencies:
[2017-05-20 01:37:38 +0100] dovecot = 1:2.2.29.1-1.el7.centos is needed by (installed) dovecot-pigeonhole-1:2.2.29.1-1.el7.centos.x86_64
[2017-05-20 01:37:38 +0100] libdovecot-sieve.so.0()(64bit) is needed by (installed) dovecot-pigeonhole-1:2.2.29.1-1.el7.centos.x86_64
[2017-05-20 01:37:38 +0100] W Exit Code: 5
I have tried adding dovecot-xaps to the local.versions file, as both "unmanaged" and "uninstalled", however upcp is being stubborn.
Currently, to update I am:
- ]
- Uninstalling CentOS dovecot, dovecot-pigeonhole
- Running /scripts/upcp
- Uninstalling CPanel dovecot, dovecot-xaps
- Installing CentOS dovecot, dovecot-pigeonhole
- Running /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/builddovecotconf
- Restarting dovecot
